Some groups use it to do volunteer work or raise money for charity; we dressed up, gave toys and candies to kids (which some parents did NOT like, surprisingly), bar-hopped and made fools out of ourselves (which bothered me a little upon retrospection). We started in Menlo Park (BBC, Left Bank), had champagne on Caltrain to Palo Alto (Gordon Biersch, Old Pro) and had Bailey's on Caltrain to Mountain View (Tied House). Nine hours of crazy fun!
My little girlie Santa suit was $4! It was from Daiso, a new cheap-o Japanese store in the San Antonio shopping center, near Trader Joe's. You know why Sam had horns and a tail? He was Satan Claus, more naughty than nice. Some parents weren't happy with that one either.
OMG-- Satan Claus is funny! well, i'll bet some parents got all nervous about drunk adults giving presents to their kids, but in a way, the intentions are good and its not like you guys were piss-drunk...were you ? :) yeah, i thought you guys were in the south bay-- i recognized some of the bars, although i could only find sacramento when i briefly looked on that SantaCon list...
$4?????????? Daiso has great Yelps, i need to go check it out. you know, i have some black fishnet stockings i could have lent you (found them the other day when i did laundry), but then again, i am sure the parents would have been even more wary!
